As I was walking about the city I happened to come across this gentleman drawing smiling faces on the top of the gutter along North Terrace in chalk. I thought to myself this is what street art is all about. This guy bought some thick children’s chalk and was out to brighten some people’s day. It was a simple yet public statement made for all to see.
Nobody was hurt.
It was not permanent.
This got me thinking why don’t we see more of this sort of art?
Are the people of Adelaide too shy?
